As a big fan of the Opensky series I always knew that the Feel Real combination would be successful. The model of this 767 is of a very high quality and with Opensky’s origanal 42-sided based Variable Sided Fuelage everything about the aircraft looks good. Moving flaperon’s, spoileron’s, aileron’s, elevator’s, rudder, and fan blade’s ,Tilting bogie’s, gear bay’s. (All highly detailed) night lighting, flashing beacon’s. This is all a 767 fan would ever need to make his or her dreams come ture. Transparent cockpit windshield with 3-D pilot’s all adds the extremly realistic feel and I have’nt even got to the textures yet.
Up close the aircraft texture work is shown in all its glory. It is emphesised how much work is put into these textures just by taking a quick look at the aircraft from the “spot plane” veiw. As you can see from our exclusive screenshots, the details are superb. The weathered effect contributes to the real look of the aircraft. On my first flight I noticed just how much I loved this aircraft. I would recommend this file to everyone.
Where there any problems? I am running a 500 MHz with Voodoo 3, 3500 graphics card. 128 Mb RAM. What we call 2nd generation computers. I had no problems with frame rates even though I had my FS 2000 display settings set to maximum custom. The game still run as fast as it always has done. I certainly thought that the texturing would mean a slowing in the game due to their complexity. This was not the case and the game run fine.
There are no probelms with how the aircraft flies either. I found it to be a treat at both low and high speeds which made me, just a simple virtual pilot, appriciate the hard work put into the design, building and painting of the aircraft.
