Offered here is a VIP display model of the Northrop F-5A "Freedom Fighter". While I can't confirm who produced this model, it is likely either Topping or Precise. Scale looks to be 1/48th. As the photos will attest, the model itself is in good shape.It is missing the starboard forward part of its Sidewinder rail tip. The underwing stores show signs of obvious repair/regluing to wing, but are complete. I leave it to the buyer to decide if to display 'as is', or to address these issues. There is flaking and wear to the decals, which could easily be replaced with new 1/48th scale versions. The model itself would benefit from a good cleaning.
The clear lucite stand mounts to the aircraft model via twin dowels that insert into the aircraft exhausts. A cool feature to the stand is that you can rotate these dowels, and in so doing, the roll of how the aircraft is displayed. The aircraft itself measures approximately 13“ long and 8“ wide, and, on it's stand 10“ tall. All in all, a great and highly collectable piece. It would be a great addition to any aviation collection.
The model will be carefully protected in bubble wrap and other packing materials and shipped via USPS Priority Mail.
