Sea Fury was active with Australia, Canada, the Netherlands, and Cuba, where during the 1961 Bay of Pigs invasion, Cuban Sea Furys sunk several ships of the CIAs invasion fleet.
Sea Fury continues to be one of the fastest production single piston-engine aircraft ever built. It is driven by a Bristol Centaurus 18-cylinder radial engine at about 2480hp. Sea Fury’s brute power gave it extended life in the unlimited class at the Reno Air Races.
