As its almost impossible for us to list real models covering all the many different airlines that use this type of aircraft we are offering to make as a scale replica model of what you see in the first image above and in the dimensions shown in the listing.
To give you confidence in what you will receive there follows below an image of a similar type of model to the one advertised that we have made before which shows you the detail and quality of finish that we achieve.
\"You never really own a PlaneArts - you merely look after it for the next generation\"
The dimensions of the model we will make of the aircraft depicted in the image at the top of this page (first image in the thumbnail section) will be as follows:
LENGTH:10.50 INCHES (26.80 CM),WINGSPAN:8.30 INCHES (21.20 CM),SCALE:1:100 (1/100)
does not allow us to offer variations of size or scale in one listing but if you would like to see an example of the next larger size or scale model you can do so by clicking on the link below. Please note that the images you see here are of the larger option shown as in the below linked larger model. In some cases, with a smaller scale or sized model the level of fine artwork or decal resolution may not be exactly the same as the larger version.

Other sizes and scales apart from the two above (or other model types) available upon request - just message us for more info.
This model replica is painstakingly hand carved and then hand painted out of solid kiln dried mahogany wood(from renewable sources) by our highly experienced and talented craftsmen at our Filipino owned factory near the original Clark Air Base in Pampanga and takes about 9-10 weeks to manufacture. Production in our factory is supervised by our own resident British Pilot who ensures that exact blueprints are used for these meticulously detailed scale models custom manufactured and precisely engineered to your exact specifications and that will be cherished by all.
The model will be exactly as you see in the above image of the real aircraft and not the example we show below of a similar model we have made before. In terms of detailing (doors, windows, lights, control surface markings, antennas etc.) and livery or markings will follow the real aircraft image so we would kindly ask you to study the images very carefully (if you require higher resolution images please ask) to make sure that the model as you see is the 100% the same version you require or expect. We request your understanding on this matter due to the fact that these handmade models are traveling in many cases halfway around the world and any misunderstandings or mistaken expectations must be addressed at this as point of time as we cannot be held responsible for the costs involved in returning and replacing the model. The model will be shipped with the stand you see in the images although you may request if you like to change to either 1, 6 or 7 as in the attached image examples (just message us if a change is required).
It is our aim to continue to be a \"sustainable\" manufacturer avoiding the use of man-made materials wherever possible such as plastics, resins or metal in an attempt to reduce our Carbon Footprint and to protect our environment for generations to come. Our models are \"works of art\" and not to be confused with mass made plastic kits or diecast (die cast) look-alikes. We are proud Filipino\'s exporting to all parts of the globe and creating employment opportunities in an impoverished part of our country.
100% handmade models naturally come at a higher price than off the shelf, plastic or diecast (die cast) models but it may interest you to know that an average regular size fixed wing or helicopter model takes on average a total of 26 dedicated Man Hours of work to produce. During this time the model transitions through over 40 different manufacturing stages and processes. The 26 hours are not consecutive and require in-between many days (and in some cases weeks) of drying and curing time as they pass from one department to another making the overall production time from an outsiders point of view appear rather lengthy. Given these facts the time period we quote for production alone is very standard for our type of industry and among our close competitors. If you are interested in what goes into making these models, there follows a summary process schedule and video. Bombardier CRJ-200ER with Delta Connection / Comair
TheBombardier CRJ-200ERwas a key part of regional aviation in the United States throughout the late 1990s and 2000s. Built by Bombardier Aerospace in Canada, the CRJ-200 was designed as an extended-range (ER) version of the original CRJ-100, with improvements in fuel efficiency and payload. ForDelta Connection, the CRJ-200 became a workhorse, flown extensively by its regional partnerComair.
The Aircraft: CRJ-200ER
The CRJ-200ER is a twin-engine regional jet, powered bytwo General Electric CF34-3B1 turbofan engines. With seating for about50 passengers, it was designed to bridge the gap between turboprop aircraft and larger narrow-body jets.
Key Specifications:
Capacity:50 passengers, typically all economy class
Engines:2 × GE CF34-3B1 turbofans, each producing around 8,729 pounds of thrust
Range (ER version):Around 3,050 kilometers (1,650 nautical miles)
Cruise Speed:Mach 0.74 (~ 785 km/h / 488 mph)
Service Ceiling:41,000 feet
TheERdesignation (Extended Range) allowed the aircraft to carry additional fuel compared to the standard CRJ-200, giving it more flexibility on longer regional routes.
Comair and Delta Connection
Comair, based in Cincinnati, Ohio, was one of Delta Air Lines’ primary regional affiliates under theDelta Connectionbrand. During its peak, Comair operated a large fleet of CRJ-100 and CRJ-200 aircraft, becoming the first airline to build an all-jet regional fleet.
Importance of the CRJ-200 for Comair:
Fleet Backbone:The CRJ-200 was the mainstay of Comair’s fleet, flying to dozens of smaller U.S. cities.
Hub Operations:Much of Comair’s operation centered around Delta’s hub in Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG), where the CRJ-200 provided frequent connections.
Delta Feeder Service:The aircraft allowed Delta to expand into markets that could not support larger mainline aircraft but still demanded reliable jet service.
Passenger Experience
The CRJ-200ER provided jet comfort to routes that were previously served by turboprops, but it also had limitations.
Cabin Features:
Seating:50 seats in a2-by-2 layout, eliminating the middle seat.
Cabin Size:Relatively narrow, with limited headroom (many passengers could not stand fully upright in the aisle).
Overhead Bins:Smaller than those on larger jets, requiring many passengers to gate-check roller bags.
Noise Levels:Quieter than turboprops, though cabin noise from the engines was noticeable toward the rear.
Passengers often appreciated the speed and smooth ride compared to turboprops, but the confined cabin space and lack of onboard amenities could be challenging on longer flights.
Strengths and Challenges
Strengths:
Versatility:Perfect for short-haul routes linking secondary cities to major hubs.
Economics (at the time):Cheaper to operate on low-demand routes compared to larger jets.
Passenger Perception:A “jet” service was often viewed as an upgrade over turboprops in the 1990s and early 2000s.
Challenges:
Fuel Inefficiency:By modern standards, the CRJ-200’s engines are fuel-hungry, making them costly to operate as fuel prices rose.
Limited Capacity:With only 50 seats, unit costs per passenger were relatively high.
Comfort:Tight cabin and small overhead bins limited passenger satisfaction, especially as expectations grew.
Legacy and Retirement
The CRJ-200ER served Comair and Delta Connection reliably for many years, but changing economics and customer preferences led to its gradual phase-out. Comair itself ceased operations in 2012, and the CRJ-200 has been steadily retired across the Delta Connection network, replaced by larger and more efficient regional jets such as the Embraer E170, E175, and Bombardier CRJ-700/900.
Despite its eventual decline, the CRJ-200 remains a significant aircraft in U.S. regional airline history. It helped pioneer the shift from turboprops to all-jet regional fleets, and for many travelers, it represented their first step onto a jet aircraft when flying to smaller cities.
Conclusion
TheBombardier CRJ-200ERwas the backbone ofComair’s Delta Connection operations, bringing jet service to communities across America. While no longer a major player in modern fleets, its impact on regional aviation was profound. For Delta, and for thousands of passengers across the U.S., the CRJ-200 symbolized reliable access to the national air travel network during a transformative era in aviation.
