Former AirCal Jet in Classic 1968 AA Livery, Original Color PhotographDESCRIPTIONThis original vintage color photograph captures American Airlines Boeing 737-300 N676AA on the ramp, its polished bare aluminum fuselage and classic red white and blue cheatline catching the light.Built in 1986 as manufacturer's line number 1100, this jet began its life with AirCal before joining the American Airlines fleet following the 1987 AirCal merger, where it flew as fleet number 676.The aircraft wears American's iconic double A eagle tail logo, designed by Massimo Vignelli and introduced in 1968, a scheme so enduring it remained on American's aircraft for 45 years until the 2013 rebrand. After its years with American, this same airframe went on to fly for Southwest Airlines before being retired and eventually broken up at Tucson, Arizona, closing out a career that touched three different carriers. This 12x8 print was captured by aviation photographer Steven J. Pinnow of Beloit, Wisconsin, whose ink stamp appears on the verso alongside the original photofinishing lab code.Every print in this collection has been professionally scanned at 600dpi archival resolution to preserve every detail for years to come.
