This is an original military aircraft photo featuring a USAF Lockheed C-141A Starlifter, identifiable by its original, shorter fuselage length before later "B" model conversions.
It was operated by the Military Airlift Command (MAC), specifically the 437th Military Airlift Wing based at Charleston AFB, South Carolina.
The photo was taken around 1978, a time when these aircraft were prominently displaying the early white and gray USAF color scheme.
This specific airframe was later modified into a C-141B, with its fuselage extended by 23 feet and 4 inches (7.1 meters) to increase cargo capacity.
