This is a model kit that reproduces "McLaren MP4 / 6 Honda", which won the championship machine at the 1991 F1 Grand Prix, on a 1/12 scale. The front and rear suspension arms and damper operating arms are made of die-cast, expressing the unique cross-sectional shape as it is and ensuring strength. The suspension is movable like the actual vehicle, and you can also observe the unique movement that operates the damper unit via the bell crank. The engine, transverse transmission, and monocoque frame are integrally molded. Moreover, the engine and monocoque are fixed with a metal bracket and four screws, so you can understand the configuration in which the engine itself is a part of the car body. The V12 cylinder engine is precisely modeled down to accessories. A lot of tiny screws are used to assemble each part, and a special screwdriver is also attached so that you can enjoy the assembly with a lot of mechanic feeling. The body cowl is realistically reproduced even on delicate curved surfaces. Moreover, it is divided like the actual car. The heat shield sticker attached to the under panel and body cowl is represented by an aluminum sticker. Wheels are one-piece molded and installed with nuts.
