This is a rare 1940s solid wood Pan American World Airways DC-4 Clipper at 1:60 scale. It has the maker mark on the underside near the tail “Favre Esc. 1:60” We picked this up at an estate sale at Lake Tahoe. We were told this belonged to a pilot of one of these clippers back in the early 1940s. He supposedly had this one custom made and originally came with a stand (Could not find a model like this in a Google search). It was found in a storage barn on the property that hadn’t been gone through since the 1960s. The stand was never found. It is in amazing condition for its age but does have some paint loss and paint loss where the wings meet the fuselage (see close up photos). The propellers are made of metal and spin freely. It has a 23 ¾” wing span and measures 19 ¼” long. The model is being sold in “As Found” condition. Please email with questions. Good Luck!!
