18\" Vintage American Character \"Sweet Sue\" doll.
Description of \"Sweet Sue\" can be seen on page 61 of the American Character Identification and Value Guide by Judith Iven.
Similar doll can be seen on pg. 62 bottom left side of page.
- Hard Plastic Head
- Cloth Body with no staining!
- Latex Rubber Limbs. Nice velvety smooth legs and arms with no stickiness as happens with these dolls!
- Blue Sleep Eyes. (right eye a little cloudy)
- Full Brush Lashes (right side seems to be at an angle on the outer edge (see pic 9) but not sparse.
- Appropriately marked American Character.
- Molded Hair with minor rubs
- Nice rosy cheeks.
- Her right cheek has a rub in the middle of her cheek about 1/4\" long (see pic 5).
- Left cheek has a slight circle mark but you have to really look close to see it and doesn\'t affect the cheek color.
- Red closed mouth with very minor paint missing.
- She has a crier in her body but it doesn\'t seem to work.
- Her head can be posed from side to side.
She is a very BEAUTIFUL and clean looking doll but may need some minor cleaning.
She wears her Original Pink Dress with Ivory Lace edging and Blue satin bow in front. Closes in back with two pins.
Pink matching one piece slip underneath.
Ivory Bloomers made of same material as dress. Elastic may be a little loose around legs.
Original White (rubber/soft plastic?) Vintage Shoes marked \"Hong Kong\" on bottom Vintage White Socks.
