Vintage FairchildAviation (Fairchild Aircraft Company) sterling silver lapel pin. Lapel pin measures approximately 1/4” x 1 1/8”and is marked “OS,” “STERLING,” and “FETTING.” Lapel pin has a pinback with a roll locking pin catch. Fairchild Aviation was founded in 1925and produced a number of notable aircraft including the C-119 Flying Boxcar, C-123Provider, and A-10 Thunderbolt II. Lapelpin may be from the WWII era. Lapel pin appears to be in good used condition with signs of age and wear,such as scratches, scrapes, abrasions, nicks, and discoloration or oxidation.Estate sale find.
