THE FIRST RAILROAD IN AMERICA:
$15

This book was privately printed in 1926 for the Granite Railway Company to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the first railway in America, located in Quincy, Massachusetts at the granite quarries. It is in very good condition, but there is a missing bit of the book label in the lower right corner – see photo. The book has 29 pages of print and black and white photos of the quarries, buildings and memorials built with granite from those quarries including the Bunker Hill Monument, Boston Custom House and Minot Light. Printed by Walter Advertising and Printing Company in Boston. Also included is the original gift card that was given with the book.
