"Rio Grande Secret Places Vol One: The Tunnel District" is by R. C. Farewell and was published and copyrighted in 2007 by the Colorado Railroad Historical foundation, Inc, of Golden, Colorado. This is the story of early to late railroad operations west of Denver over the Front Range, the steep east side of the Rocky Mountains. It is about many tunnels on a 2% grade to Pinecliffe which marks "a geographical transition from the canyon country to the east and the rolling forested uplands to the west on the final approach to the Continental Divide". All of the thirty tunnels on the route are pictured and described with their history. The pictures above show the the actual front and back of the dust covers, the two page inside front cover photo (the back has a similar winter scene), the Contents page and six other pages at roughly 25 page intervals. The book is hardbound with a dust cover0-918654-55-6, carries ISBN ...., measures 8 3/4 by 11 1/4 by 5/8 inches and is 160 pages long. It was originally listed on for $33.
