Michigan Chauffeur License Badge Pin 1911 For Sale

Here we have a very early example of a Michigan chauffeurs badge dating back to 1911. As this was the infancy of the automobile it would have been a rarity for someone to have a vehicle let alone a chauffeur. During this time period only around 500,000 automobiles existed in the United States so the number of vehicles in the state of Michigan would have been significantly lower. This pin/badge has been “repaired” at some point in its life with a pin having been soldered on. Thanks for looking!
