Fantastic, scarce vintage photograph and article on renowned airplane pilot Merrill C. Meigs, for whom Chicago airport Meigs Field was named. The photograph (8 x 6.5\") is a press photo (with markings on reverse) and is circa 1920s. The six-page article (with pencil note) is from The Chicago American, July 28, 1957 - and gives an account of Meigs\' life and accomplishments.
Very good condition.
