$20.00

In part 1 from 2000, there are a parade of diesels on Burlington Northern, LMX, BNSF, Norfolk Southern, Canadian Pacific, Amtrak, Soo Line (note the SD40-2 referenced to a Nickel Plate Berkshire on display at Conneaut Ohio), HATX, Chicago & Northwestern with a since been retired and/or scrapped SD18, Metra Commuter rail, Union Pacific, Southern Pacific, Conrail, Santa Fe, Canadian National, Duluth Winnipeg & Pacific, Milwaukee Road, GATX, Cotton Belt, Algoma Central Wisconsin Central, CSX, Chaumont lines, & even some scenes of 261 on a BNSF employee appreciation special near the end of the program. More scenes of the 1944 Alco Built northern on these trips can be found in part 2 of this series, as well as Steam ’98 from Pentrex.

Locations include Savannah (not Alabama) along the Mississippi river, the Hot-Spot of Rochelle with a brand-new park, Rondout Junction with a branch to Fox Lake on the left in the going away shot, Des Plaines (home of the Choo-Choo Diner) near Devall Tower with a Helicopter ride, Franklin Park with a since been relocated tower, Elmwood Park, Bensonville Yard (note the bug blocking the lens from a helicopter), Elmhurst, La Grange Bridge, Brookfield, Highlands with a meet between all 3 Metra commuter trains at both scenes: one at sunset, & another in August of 1998 which was on the same day as 261’s BNSF employee specials, & Hinsdale.

Before the program begins, there are ads for the All-New Classic Trains Magazine which made its debut at the same time that this 2 part series was made, Trains Magazine, & Carstens Publications (which used to release every issue of Railroad Modeler & Railfan & Railroad Magazines until June 2014, when all these has since been taken over by White River Productions).

All in All, Bob Carrera did a fantastic job narrating this over 20-Year-Old Videotape with scenes from almost 25 years ago.
