Virginia-Carolina Railway 1914 Vintage Right of Way Section Map 24\" x 56\". This map is in decent condition with some age related wear. At some point in its history it looks like some ink was spilled on it while rolled up. Note the spots in the photos. This railway line extended through the Blue Ridge Mountains to White Top in 1912. This map represents one section of the line. The Norfolk & Western absorbed the line in 1919 and continued until flooding in 1977 when operations ceased. Most of the former roadbed in Virginia is occupied by the Virginia Creeper Trail. All considered this is an awesome piece of company history and would make a nice display.
