These slides are from a 2017 discovery in the St Louis area - a small collection ofKodachromeaircraft slide photographs associated with the Remmert-Werner Inc. facilities at St. Louis.
These are not \"duplicates\" or modern reprints. They had been stored away in a metal slide file/cabinet, possibly since the 1980s.
(Mrs. Elizabeth Remmert died in 2016 - these may have come from her estate).
The images could have been documentary, for advertising, or just tourist-type photos and may have come from Mr. William Remmert\'s personal collection.
Details from his obituary:
Mr. William F. Remmert died May 29, 1989 at age 75.
He started out with Curtiss-Wright, served as technical representative to the Flying Tigers in China, and was president of Remmert-Werner from 1946 through 1968.
The company began by restoring DC-3 aircraft for sale to the growing business aviation field, then went on to more success as a customizer of executive aircraft.
From 1963 to 1968 the company was a distributor of the Sabreliner jet, made by Rockwell International. In 1968 R-W was bought out by a division of Rockwell.

There\'s a Grumman Goose sitting out \"Available For Lease or Purchase.\" Edge-dated \"SEP 58\".
The Goose is N87 U, which was in the R-W fleet for some time.This could be a rebuild rollout, or a fresh re-paint ready for sale at the R-W \"Sales Island.\"
N87U is well-documented in online aircraft search pages, had an interesting history, and may have ended up as a movie plane under a different N or C/N number and paint job, and may still be around.
Slide Mount:2\" x 2\" classic white cardstockmarked \"Kodachrome Transparency\" in red lettering with the yellow and red Kodak logo.
Condition/Notes:VG+/Ex.
I don\'t clean these slides, other than to lightly brush them with a soft negative brush, and perhaps a light puff of compressed air.
• I\'m providing a very large scan, so every little bit of dust or lint shows up quite clearly. You may be able to professionally clean this image, but I\'m showing it just as it is now, as found.
• I do not alter the exposure/contrast/light/dark/color levels unlessabsolutely necessary to show the image at its best.
• I use a very simple \"Wolverine F2D Super\" film-to-digital scanner for these listings.

Note: these are \"as-is\" photos, rescued from a sad end, and the mounts may have mild corner bumps and often, writing annotations from the original photographer/owner--signs of their age.
Most are perfectly preserved, clean, sharp edged and ready for you to project or digitally copy.
About my photos:I love old snapshot photos and 35mm slides--collect them myself. I can hardly bear to see someone\'s family photos get tossed out or destroyed.
I sort through family albums, scrapbooks and piles of paper at sales and flea markets looking for images to \"save\", to live on in someone\'s collection.
You can adopt some of these folks through their photographs and imagine yourself in another time and place.
