Amazing old Stationary from an iconic Southern Railroad. This comes in what is probably the original box. There are more than 100 sheets of paper that say
SEABOARD AIR LINE RAILROAD COMPANY
PASSENGER TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT
RALPH A. PERKIN GENERAL MANAGER AGENT
230 PEACHTREE STREET- ROOM 207 – TELEPHONE 521-2179
ATLANTA, GEORGIA 30303
There also are five envelopes and two tablets of stickers.
The first tablet says:
FREIGHT TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT
SEABOARD AIR LINE RAILROAD COMPANY
1209-22 MARIETTA ST., N.W. - ATLANTA, Ga. 30303
These stickers are in great condition. The sheets measure 8 ½ inches by 11 inches. And each sheet has eight stickers that measure 4 ¼ inches by 2 ¾ inches. The first sheet has six stickers, and the rest, about 45 sheets, have all 8 stickers. Because there is a sheet of tissue paper between each page these are all in good shape.
The second set of stickers say:
FROM H.E. PLEASANTS, G.P.A.
SEABOARD AIR LINE RAILROAD COMPANY
1202 THE 22 MARIETTA STL, ATLANTA 3, Ga.
The sheets measure 8 ½ inches by 11 inches. And each sheet has eight stickers that measure 4 ¼ inches by 2 ¾ inches. Unfortunately, they did not have tissue between them and so are mostly stuck together and I'm not sure if they can be separated safely.
You get the whole box of stationary and working stickers from this Southern railway.
