Denver and Rio Grande China COFFEE CUP & SAUCER \"Prospector\" PATTERN For Sale

This is a very nice Rio Grande “Prospector” pattern coffee cup and saucer. The cup stands 2 ¼ inches tall and 3 ¾ inches across.The saucer is 5 ¼ inches across. Both pieces are made by Syracuse China and carry a date code of 93 which indicates a year of manufacturer of 1964. The saucer was made in January and the cup in April.

Overall, the cup does have glaze wear. The inside of the cup has little if any glaze wear while the rim and outer body has the usual glaze wear from daily use. The saucer has very little glaze wear and has just a few marks in the cup well. This set is really a nice example of the Prospector pattern.There are no chips, cracks or anything other than normal wear. I took close up photos of the handle to show that it is in excellent condition.Overall, the cup and saucer are in very good condition.
