A very rare aircraft manual issued in September 1942 covering the Avro Lancaster Mk II. As used at the time by Ground Crew for servicing and repairs
Quite literally this unique period manual covers the whole aircraft in minute detail via instructions and text at the beginning of each chapter followed by numerous fold out schematic illustrations.
Everything you ever wanted to know about the aircraft including \'bombing up\' configurations, servicing of gun turrets, complete disassembly of the whole aircraft, even the mundane tasks of stowing the dinghy and servicing the Elsan toilet are covered.
Originally owned by an Aircraft Fitter who later became a Flight Engineer with over 30 bombing missions to his credit.
Over 330 scans, with fold-out illustrations covering all aspects of the aircraft. Converted to pdf file and conveniently viewable on a DVD disc. The manual can also be printed for ease of reference.
