We're all the same, we all like to show off something we’ve had new, whether it’s a car, computer, house, anything. But have you ever showed off a watch? No I’m not talking to all of you with Rolex’s! Well I was sent two watches that I was proud to show off, so read on. 
Cockpit Company is a relatively new company which specializes in making watches to represent cockpit instruments. Cockpit Company is a sponsor of our very own FSPlanet! As they are relatively new they only have 2 watches available at the moment. These two watches are reviewed below:

Attitude Watch

This watch is my personal favourite. The face of the watch is very well designed to look like the horizontal horizon on the attitude indicator. Detail is very impressive, with degrees of climb and descent and degrees of bank shown. The  hour and minute hands are made to look like the needles on the altimeter. But the seconds hand is made to look like the maximum speed needle on the airspeed Indicator. The strap is made from PVC to maintain strength and durability. The overall strap length is 7½ inches, with 10 holes making it big enough for any wrist. The pin and lock are also made out of a plastic which may not be as strong as if they were metal. Around the face itself is a rotating bezel which I explain in detail further down. Below the main dial we have a small 1½ cm wide by 4mm high digital display. This display presents many functions including stopwatch, date (in day and month format), 24hr or 12hr digital time and a fully functional alarm. The watch also includes an hourly chime, which can be set on or off. 
One thing I don’t like about the display is there is a light, but the light only lights up the digital display and is not that bright after all. The watch would be a lot more spectacular if the face lit up like the instruments in a cockpit at night. The 3 metal buttons that work the Lamp, Functions or Stop Watch, are made from metal. They are quite un-comfortable to keep pushing and leave a dent in your finger. 
The watch itself comes packed in a custom made plastic packet and includes a reasonable set of instructions to get the watch working for you. No contact or Warranty is specified, within the packaging but they can be found on the manufacturer's web site.

Altimeter Watch

I’m not going to go through all the above again because it is exactly the same as the Attitude Watch but the display itself is different, so that is what I will review below:
The actual display on the face represents the altimeter in a Cessna or similar type of aircrafts, with all the numbers 1 to 9 around the edge. The only difference here is that the numbers go from 0 to 11. This is not a problem as it can’t be helped. But the actual hands look like the needles on the altimeter.  The only thing which bothers me is that the seconds hand belongs to the speed indicator and not to the Altimeter. It also has a small image of the pressure showing 29.9 and 30.0, in the correct place referring to the Cessna gauge. The other watch features are exactly the same as the ones of the Attitude watch.

Things I Dislike:
5 – 7 numbers are missing
Hard Metal Buttons
Bad Lighting 
Unrealistic Seconds Hand For The Watch.

The rotating bezel is quite complicated and not explained in the instructions. The idea of the bezel is to tell the time difference between countries. For example if we centre on the London arrow, one arrow to the right of that which is Paris means that Paris is one hour in front of London. One hour to the left means one hour behind. Simple to understand but difficult when not mentioned in the instructions. The only thing I dislike about this bezel is the writing is very small and hard to read. 

On the back of both watches is a stainless steel back with the cockpit company name and logo, giving it a very professional look.


All in all the watches are well worth the money. The watches aren’t any good for people not into aviation, but if your reading this then… Anyway the watches are well designed, comfortable and durable and a great thing to show off and bring you one step closer to that cockpit.
