FS2000 Biman Bangladesh Airlines DC-10-30
In 1972-73, the first year of operation, Biman Bangladesh Airlines carried 3.8 million passengers and earned a revenue of 79 million taka under very adverse conditions. Nearly 25 years later (in 1995-1996) the number of passengers increased to nearly 12.6 million, and the revenue to taka 10.5 billion taka. The airline broke-even for the first time in 1977-78 and has in profit in the very next year. Despite a world-wide crisis in the aviation industry, Biman performed well enough to earn profits in the last few years. By: Aziz R. Palas
