The international airport “Leonardo da Vinci” was created to substitute the old and small Ciampino’s airport. The project started at the start of 1950 was completed only 10 years later in 1961. The original airport included two runways 25-07 and the today’s 16R-34L one national terminal and a international one, a cargo city and a maintenance area for Alitalia. In ‘70 there were the first upgrade of the airport:: with the 747’s arrive in Alitalia were built a new hangar for 747’s maintenance and the new runway 16L-34R. FS2004 Dassault M.D.454 Mystere IVA
The IAF's first aircraft to cross the sound barrier, the Mystere's design originated from another type already operated by the IAF. A firm believer in evolutionary developement, Dassault designed the Mystere by fitting the Ouragan's fuselage with a 30 degrees swept wing. The result was the Mystere I whose first flight took place in February 1951. Succedded by the re-engined Mysteres II and III, the Mystere design nonetheless suffered from poor performance and not until the advent of the Mystere IVA did the type enter frontline service. First flown on September 28th 1952, the IVA bore only an external resemblence to its predecessors with a different engine, oval fuselage, powered controls and thinner wings swept at 41 degrees. FS2004 Mil Mi-24 Hind Hungary AirForce
Deadly looking, and just as lethal, the Mil MI-24 series of Helicopter Gunships are perfect Cold War images of the Soviet concept of a "Flying APC". Armed with AT Missles, Rockets and Cannon, and capable of transporting 8 Troops in its cabin. Caused much concern in the West, where there was no counterpart, and given the NATO code-name "Hind" MI-24's were first built with conventional flightdeck-type cabin,as the MI-24A, then redesigned with the stepped, armored cockpits for pilot and weapons systems operator (wso), as the MI-24D. FS2004 Mh-53 PAVELOW
This Mh-53 has been redesigned to match the real aircraft as close as possible. I did add some gauges that are not there in the real world but it was only because there is no Flight Engineer in the game to call out things like altitude and airspeed or fuel for that matter. I took gauges from the internet that were as close as possible to the real aircraft. If I have used anyones gauge out of turn, I apologize and I will be happy to remove it. By gary and christy

FS2004, Acapulco International Airport, Mexico MMAA
This scenery depicts the Acapulco International Airport in it's entirety. It is a smaller airport, but is able to handle the largest jetliners. There are no jetways at this airport, and incoming international flights are met by buses which carry passengers to the terminal. This airport also has a large general use population due to it's jet set locale. It uses pink in many areas most likely due to the very popular Las Brisas Hotel which originated the pink and white color scheme it uses in this city, even in their transport Jeeps. An afcad is also included which contains cross pattern runways which are used here, and was completed with the help of Ray Smith. By: Bill Melichar

FS2004 Big Sandy Catlettsburg Ky KHTS
Big Sandy valley lays on the west side of Huntington KHTS. We locals know this as the Big Sandy River and Catlettsburg Ky area. This project removes the large "sink-hole" at the mouth of the river. It also removes the rediculous number of plants at the middle marker of KHTS, leaving just the glass plant. Autogen objects includes I64 bridge, Catlettsburg bridge, refinery, iron works and other VFR landmarks. Camden Park & riverboat objects are default objects and custom made macros. Celebrating Airbus' recent rollout of the gargantuan A380 passenger-liner, this simple, and intuitively easy to use panel uses many default gauges in conjunction with more advanced gauges available as freeware. Redistributed here with permission of the original authors - with special thanks to Mike Stone for use of his A380 EICAS gauge. FS2002/FS2004 Boeing X-45A UCAV
A new era in aviation was initiated on May 22, 2002, as the X-45A Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle (UCAV) technology demonstrator made its first flight at Edwards AFB, Calif. During the 14-minute flight, which was termed a complete success, the X-45A reached a speed of 195 knots and an altitude of 7,500 feet. Flight characteristics and basic aspects of aircraft operations, particularly the command and control link between the aircraft and the mission-control station, were successfully demonstrated. This historic step marks the beginning of flight testing of the first unmanned system designed from inception for combat. by Kazunori Ito
