FS2004/FSX Curtiss SC-1 Seahawk
The Curtiss Seahawk (SC-1) was an American single-seater shipborne aircraft first flown in 1944, entering service in late 1944. It was the last plane designed to be catapulted from a battleship or heavy cruiser and was primarily used for scout duties and in some instances fire control for the large gun batteries. The airport at Margarita Island is located in the south part of Margarita. It has two terminals, one for domestic flights, and another one for international flights, which mostly come in from other Caribbean islands. Most of the traffic is of course between Margarita and Caracas. The airport's full name is "Aeropuerto Internacional del Caribe 'General Santiago Marino'", which means it is international airport named after the general Santiago Marino. FSX Scenery-Westonzoyland Airfield for FSX and Horizon GenX VFR photo scenery Vol.1 only
Westonzoyland in Somerset was built in 1944 as a joint base for the RAF and USAAF and remained as an RAF fighter station until closing in 1958. The airfield borders the site of the last battle fought on English soil, the Battle of Sedgemoor in 1685. Today, a section of the airfield has been converted as a centre for light GA and micro-light aircraft operations and as a base for the Skywatch Civil Air Patrol. Approaches to some of the runways can be challenging, with trees, a busy main road (A372) and electricity power lines all being sited close to the airfield. This scenery includes AI aircraft and road traffic, animated scenery objects and auto-gen trees for the local area.By Trevor Clark
