FSX/FS2004 Beechcraft D18, SATA - Sociedade
Açoreana de Transportes Aéreos, Lda. 1947
The Airline is now known as SATA Air Açores and was the first in
Portugal to have a civil, commercial registry aircraft, CS-TAA. Being
it's first aircraft, baptised Açor (Azor), and after only two months of
service, on the 5th of August 1947, the aircraft was lost at sea, while
flying from S.Miguel to Santa Maria (there were no survivors). No colour
photographs exist, but with special thanks to Mr. Gualter Cordeiro's
excellent memory (retired SATA Ops Manager), it was possible to recreate
what was once forgotten. Historic Graphical details: Mr. Gualter
Cordeiro, Paint: Tibério Almeida, Model Designer and Flight Dynamics:
Milton Shupe, Panel: Scott Thomas
