FSX Beaverton CBV2 field near Lake Simcoe,
Ontario, Canada
Made using SceneryGenX build 61 (hoorah for that programme! downloadable
for free) by Roger Wensley. For FS9 only. The town of Beaverton is on
the east shore of Lake Simcoe, which is directly north of Toronto. Just
a bit over three miles to the east of the town is Beaverton airfield,
with a grass runway 12/30 that appears to me to be 2,100 feet long,
rather than the listed 2,400 feet. The field is new enough to be omitted
from FS9, and though there are plans to build hangars I don't know if
anything has been built in the year since I last saw it, so the only
buildings here are farm-related. There is a second field to the
northwest which I will get to, maybe this week. I have no idea what it
is called.

FSX ESMM 1963 Malmo Bulltofta
Bulltofta airport near Malmo, Sweden, was opened in 1923. From 1924,
it hosted the shortest international air route to Kastrup,
Copenhagen. During the 1930s, Bulltofta became an important European
airport, hosting connections to England, France and the Netherlands.
During World War II, the airfield served as a base to the F10
fighter wing of the Royal Swedish Air Force. During the war years,
several damaged allied aircraft made emergency landings at the
field. In the post-war years, Bulltofta became a civil airport
again, with an asphalt runway being constructed in 1952. It became
an important charter airport, with the Transair Sweden charter
company moving its operations there from Bromma in 1960. by Nikko
Yaginuma and Tom Gibson
