FSX/FS2004 spectacular Glacier National Park
just south of the Canadian border, up in Montana. Although the mountains formed about 60 million years ago, the rugged landscape as we see it today is largely the effect of glaciers, thousands of feet thick, that grinded and scraped along the valleys during the ice ages, just about 20.000 years ago. Only the tops of the highest peaks were sticking out back then. The glaciers receeded since then, but there are many remnants in the higher regions of the park. What remains are rugged peaks, magnificent clacial-carved cirques, hanging valleys and deep U-shaped valleys filled with long lakes. Flying along the impressive peaks, horns and aretes gives you a sense, why the Native Americans called it the "Shining Mountains" or the "Backbone of the World". To explore the scenery, depart from Babb, MT (49S) - a small turf strip - and head west. The covered area is 3.500 sq km and it comes in 4.7m/pix quality. FS2004 Fernando de Noronha Scenery
The island is steeped in history and has it's own connection with aviation history. For it was one of the fuel stops that were used on the very first Africa to South America trans-atlantic flight. March 30 - June 17, 1922. Lieutenant Commander Sacadura Cabral (pilot) and Cdr. Gago Coutinho (navigator) of Portugal, using three Fairey IIID floatplanes. Perhaps you might like to retrace their route to see if you can make the trip! FS2004/FSX Spitfire MK V B Tropical
The Mk VB(trop) (or type 352) could be identified by the large Vokes air filter fitted under the nose; the reduced speed of the air to the supercharger had a detrimental effect on the performance of the aircraft, but the decreased performance was considered acceptable. Many were sent overseas, with the majority of them being used either in North Africa and the Mediterranean or in the Far East. Total production was 6,487. FSX Cornwall CYCC field near Ottawa, Ontario, Canada for Ultimate Terrain
This was the 17th of a projected 16 airfields in the Ottawa area as I miscounted from the start. Cornwall is 55 miles southeast of Ottawa International close to the St Lawrence River. It has one asphalt runway which is 3,500' long and 100' wide and two aprons, one main one to the south of the runway and another at the eastern end which is new and for GA hangers and parking. Fuel is on the main apron close to the maintenance hanger. And if you have your annual inspection carried out at the maintenance facility on the field then you get a 10% discount off your fuel bill.

FS2004 St Jovite airfield CSZ3, for Ultimate Terrain ONLY in FS9
This will probably not work without Ultimate Terrain. St Jovite is a grass strip in Quebec near the town of St Jovite and Mont Tremblant tourist area. This version is intended for use with Ultimate Terrain, and I made it only because I found that the original FS version and the one made by Leon Louis both clashed with Lac Ouimet, and with the float base scenery I had made there. There is no fuel or oil or maintenance available. I made one of my first trips to St Jovite from Rockcliffe, and found it a great destination.
