FS2004/FSX A-90 Orlenok
The A-90 has three engines, the main engine (No.1) is the turboprop on the tail and this is used to provide forward thrust, especially when cruising. The other two engines (the turbojets in the nose) are the LIFT engines and are in real life used to provide the extra downwards push needed to get the A-90 up onto the 'step', ie. to get it airborne a few metres over the surface. In the sim these engines merely contribute to the overall forward thrust and should therefore be throttled back once airborne - failing to do so will result in an excessive top speed and a tendency for the aircraft to adopt a NOSE-DOWN attitude. If you are nose-down in level flight, you are going TOO FAST (although the effect is hardly noticable in FS2002). The optimum cruising speed is around 160kts or 300kmh on the ASI. Use the radar altimeter (top left of the panel) to read your height above the water - try to stay in the GREEN zone. AlphaSim 2008

FSX/FS2004 Birmingham International Airport, UK (EGBB)
Scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator X Version 1.0. EGBB is currently undergoing a program of improvements to its facilities. My scenery is accurate in terms of airport layout as of January 2008. Recent changes included in my scenery are the new remote stands 20-25 and taxiway C for a quick exit for arriving traffic on runway 15. The “short” runway 06-24 has also recently been officially closed and is now being used as a taxiway. To date, none of the markings or signage have changed and so this runway is still shown in my scenery. By Phil Reynolds

Embraer Jumping Into Business Jet Market With Two New Models Embraer is launching this initiative with two all-new models: a six/eight-place very light jet (VLJ) powered by twin Pratt & Whitney of Canada 617F turbofans; and an entry in the light jet market, an eight/nine-place aircraft that will have a pair of P&WC PW535E engines flat rated at 3,200 pounds of thrust. The new VLJ will enter service in 2008, with the new light jet to follow in 2009. The VLJ is priced at $2.75 million in 2005 dollars, while the price of the light jet is $6.65 million. FSX Chitina Airport (CXC), Alaska scenery
The airport is a bush strip so larger aircraft may have some trouble getting in. There is a hanger, FBO, loading/unloading area, static aircraft, a helicopter pad, and a float plane dock off the northern end of the runway. This scenery also includes a downed aircraft and pilot a few miles down river. For FSX ONLY! Made by Daniel Kemmer.
