Radio Range Version 4.0
is now available after one year of development. This replaces Version
3.0. The Radio Range uses Morse Code A and N audio signals to stay on a
radio beam. Using the provided full-color Civil Airways Charts and
Airway Data Tables FS9 pilots can now “Fly the Beam” along Civil Airways
Routes in the ENTIRE continental US (the “lower 48”), in all of Canada,
and in Alaska. Version 4.0 also places stations in Hawaii; in the
China-Burma-India region (CBI) where C-47s flew "The Hump" during WWII;
and across the North Atlantic. The professional-quality documentation
further includes 226 custom Instrument Approach Plates, complete station
data, and fully illustrated Instruction Manuals. All routes have been
flight-checked. The included DC-3 aircraft has three new panels, new
flight dynamics and a custom "DC-3 Airways" paint job. Information is
also provided to install the Range Receiver in your choice of aircraft.
Thanks to project leader Allan Greene, principal designers Dave
Bitzer, Alex Nicolson, and Norman Hancock, and to all of the flight
testers, now FS9 pilots can navigate realistically with the tools used
during the pre-VOR era of aviation.

FS2004 LHD Strategic Projection Ship Juan
Carlos I
now under construction by Navantia in the shipyard of Fene-Ferrol
(Spain). She will be delivered to the Spanish Armada in the beginning of
2008. She combines the ability of performing amphibious operations and
helicopter and V-STOL flight operations, with AV8B+ Harrier and probably
JSF 35. Two other LHD twin ships are going to be built for the
Australian navy by Navantia and Tenix. If somebody in Australia wants
the ship in the Australian coasts, please send me the coordinates and
the theoretical number of the future australian ship and I will be
pleased to make and post the mod. Installation: Drop .bgl files in the
scenery directory of Addon Scenery, and all the textures in the main
Texture directory of FS2004. A new airport will appear in your airport
list, called BPE, in Santander, Spain, at N 43.32´00 W 3.45`00. My
aknowledgement to Javi Moreno, Román Rivas Latorre, Juan Mendez Perez
and all the people in the Base Virtual de Rota
flying group for their very helpful assistance and support. Built for
FS2004 with Abacus FS design studio V3 By Alberto García Lledó

VOR TO VOR TUTORIAL
This little personal tutorial is to help new simulator (FS9 and FSX)
pilots to understand and pracrice VOR to VOR flying. This is done on a 1
hour flight from KVNY (Van Nuys, California) to KSBA (Santa Barbara,
California) The idea of this work came from a question of a new pilot at
Vorona Aviation, so I created it for him. My goal was to make it
undertsandable for non experianced sim flyers, hence this is not a
"flying school" method, but really a first approach. Of course, basic
flying and maybe some basic terminology is required to fully understand
this tutorial. Enclosed in this zip is the tutorial in .pdf format, an
ILS chart from KSBA in .pdf and the read me text. Just unzip the files,
read and practice the tutorial and, of course, have fun...By Marc Joy
