FS2004 Scenery - Naval Submarine Base New London Groton CT
On the east bank of the Thames River near Groton, CT, New London Naval Submarine Base was the birthplace of the submarine force. It was originally a Navy yard, converted to a submarine base in 1916, and greatly expanded in World War II. The advent of nuclear power required an improvement in training and support facilities. By 1959, New London had become the largest submarine base in the world with 8,210 active personnel. The base was recommended for closure by the DoD in the 2005 BRAC Recommendations. FS2004 Avro Tudor Mk XIII
Unzip "Avro Tudor" into a temporary file and move the "Avro Tudor" folder into the FS2004 Aircraft directory,which you should find here: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9 When you launch the game, click the Selected Aircraft tab and scroll to ‘Avro’ in the Manufacturer menu. Tudor should appear in the Model field, unless you have other Avro types in which case you will have to scroll for it. Panel: This is based on the default DC-3 panel, with some of the original engine instruments removed to make room for the boost and rpm gauges required for the Tudor. Gauges: The boost and rpm gauges are based on the ones in the default DH Comet racer panel. I edited Microsoft's XML scripts so that I would have four (rather than just two) engines. I changed the boost background bmp files to reflect the greater boost available from the RR Merlins. I wasn't sure of the actual figures, but I guess my guestimates aren't too far off the mark.

FS2004 VTBD 1961 Bangkok Intl. Don Muang
We have produced this scenery to provide taxiways and details as they were around 1961 in Bangkok We have also included new parking to allow the AI aircraft to taxi correctly at the new (old!) airport. The airport was officially opened as a Royal Thai Air Force base on March 27, 1914, although it had been in use earlier. Commercial flights started in 1924. Don Mueang Airport closed in 2006 following the opening of Bangkok's new Suvarnabhumi Airport. After some problems at Suvarnabhumi, flights resumed at Don Mueang on March 24, 2007. by Wolfgang Gersch, Jaap de Baare and Tom Gibson
