FSX Faroe Islands mesh and scenery for FSX Acceleration Pack/SP2
This package is an update to our mesh and scenery, to comply with and take full advantage of the Acceleration Pack/ SP2. This update package is complete, so you do not need the original download. The update improves performance and adds to the experience in several ways. The SP2 update to FSX (included on the Acceleration Pack dvd, but also available separately for download from Microsoft) introduces new features to FSX, among them DX10 graphics. The FSX SP2 update unfortunately broke part of the old FSX code, including some legacy transparency code. Some effect code is also broken in SP2, or at least does not show as intended when in DX10 mode. This is the case with the (default) effect used for the tower obs-light in the first version and with the (custom made) effects used for the taxi lights. These problem are addressed in this update. We have written new code and have taken the opportunity to do the same with the ramp lights and street lights at the airport. After completing the first FSX version of this scenery we became aware of the importance of always using a texture instead of a material colour to minimize the number of "draw calls" - and hence improve performance. We have in consequence worked through all the (100+) custom made models. At the same time we have downsized some of the textures. These things together have notably improved performance. Remark!!! Some of my gauges have problem in FS2004 !! My way of setting the XML-codes works in FSX , but maybe some of the syntax I use don´t work !! So - It's for FSX !!! On 20 december 1948, SAAB get "green light" to start up the design of a single engine two seated jet plane for attack- purpose on land and on sea. The work with projeket 1150, or plane 32 , was led by Lars Brising ( also known as projekt- leader for J 29 "Tunnan" ). This is a small airfield with 2 buildings and a home.the grass strip is 2000ft. long and 60 ft. wide The Afcad file and traffic file are in the scenery file the work in there. Small traffic file no gas no nite lights.  Registered Aerodrome Appears on a VFR Navigation Chart Airport Elevation=973 Traffic 132.2 Mhz Just put the {Bradford CPM7} folder in your F9-Addonfolder and acttived it.note : the person who is flying the Cub at 8:01 must had gotten into a few glasses of spirits. Gauges were changed to CFS2 gauges for a nice vintage, military look, and re-arranged into a symmetrical, easy-to-read arrangement. I brought the eyepoint up and back a little for a better view I also installed newer radio and Nav instruments for IFR flight. Original files provided by Paul Clawson and modified with permission.
